DGFT Applications Online and Offline :
DEPB Applications: [1] DEPB applications should be submitted on the DGFT web site online only with a digital signature signup and theDEPB Licence Fee [2] should be submitted only through the EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer) mode. DGFT do not accept manual DEPB applications [3] in case of EDI DEPB Shipping bills issued on or after October 1, 2005. Exporters are also being instructed not to mix the EDI DEPB Shipping bills issued before October 1, 2005 and non-EDI Shipping bills with such DEPB e-commerce offline applications.
Application for IEC Number: An application for grant of IEC Code Number [4] need to be made by the Registered/Head Office of the applicant to the licensing authority under whose jurisdiction, the registered office in case of company and Head office in case of others, falls. Application can be submitted manually or online on DGFT web-site. Online application procedure is followed by submission of physical copy of application. IEC is normally dispatched within two working days of receipt of application. The applicants who file online application and pay fee by EFT can view their IEC within hours.
